Interview Coaching
Interview Skills for School, Scholarship, Internship, and Job

Sharon Epstein College Essay Tutor and I

As a former TV producer and award-winning communications expert, I've taught hundreds of television guests the secrets to a good interview.

As an alumni interviewer for Cornell University, I learned what interviewers look for in a successful college applicant.

Now I teach my students these same techniques and secrets.

Interview Prep Coaching For:

School: Prep through grad school, including PA, OT, medical school interviews, nursing school interviews, and dental school interviews.

Scholarship: Stand out in a sea of qualified candidates.

Internship: Internship interview skills for high school and college students.

Job: Job interview skills for young adults entering the job market.

You'll Learn:

  • What to expect.

  • Body language techniques.

  • Interview do's and don'ts.

  • How to identify your strengths.

  • How to articulate why you're a great fit.

  • How to feel confident and in control.

  • How to successfully answer commonly asked questions, including "Tell Me About Yourself" and "Why This Job" or "Why This School."

  • How to combat nerves and shyness.

  • We'll finish with a mock interview.

I cover individual, panel, in-person, phone, and video interviews, depending on your need.

How Many Sessions?

I recommend three hour-long sessions to cover the above skills. Additional sessions cover additional questions and continue to refine the student's presentation skills.

If you only need a brush-up, we'll schedule one or two sessions instead. It's customized to your needs.

Personalized For You

You'll leave with a customized worksheet that will be your guide to help you perform up to your best in any interview.

Problem with Test Scores or Grades?

I'll teach you how to discuss a discrepancy in grades or test scores.

Where Do We Meet?

I meet in person, and by Zoom, Skype, and FaceTime depending on your location and preference.

Recent Testimonials

"I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of your coaching and inspiration you provided to my daughter.  I am 100 percent certain that the work you did with my daughter in just a few sessions gave her the tools and confidence she needed to ace her college interview and get accepted into Dental School. You are priceless. I am forever grateful."  Dr. Ronda Bachenheimer

"Emma has decided to attend Case Western Reserve University, receiving 1/2 tuition in merit aid. She had an interview there in the fall that went very well, and she was able to discuss her passion for ballet and desire to combine science and the arts. Case emphasizes the combination of creative and performing arts with science; she plans to major in chemistry and minor in dance.  She was accepted to all 9 schools to which she applied and early action to all of the schools that offered that choice. She received very generous merit aid from most. Looking back, she recognizes the value of the skills she learned working with you. It was time and money very well spent. We have seen such a positive change this year in how she interacts socially and in her ability to present herself and her accomplishments. Our younger daughter Cate is completing her sophomore year; I am sure we will be contacting you in the future to work with her as well.  We have already referred another friend who also has an accomplished, introverted daughter." Thanks again- Dana Schmidt and John Strong
