As a former TV producer and award-winning communications expert, I've taught hundreds of television guests the secrets to a good interview.

As an alumni interviewer
for Cornell University, I learned what interviewers look for in a successful college applicant.

Now I teach my students these same techniques and secrets.

  • You only have seven seconds to make a
    good impression in
    an interview.

Types of Interviews
School: Prep through grad school, including admissions, alumni, PA school, medical school and dental school.
Internship: For high school and college students.
Job: Interview skills for young adults entering the job market,  adults re-entering the workforce, and back-to-work moms.

During Our Sessions

We'll discuss how to prepare for an interview, interview do's and don'ts, what kind of information the interviewer is looking for, how to answer a broad range of questions, and how to combat nerves. We'll finish with a mock interview. You'll also learn the art of body language—what to do and what not to do to make a good impression.

I cover individual,  panel, in-person, MMI scenario, phone and video interviews, depending on your need.

Confidence, Energy, Enthusiasm, Connection
Students head into their interviews feeling more confident and in control.  They've learned what they want to say and how to say it in a way that will help them stand out.

"Tell Me About Yourself"
Many people shudder when they hear "Tell me about yourself." You won't have to worry; you'll learn what to say and how to say it in a way that puts you in the best possible light.  I'll also teach you about the elevator pitch.

Personalized For You

You'll leave with a tailor-made list of ways you can perform up to your best in any interview.

Problem with Test Scores or Grades?

I work with students on how to discuss a discrepancy in grades or test scores.

Learn to Interview with a College Sports Coach
I specialize in teaching students how to interview with a college coach. Learn what questions to ask—and what answers to know—in order to make the best impression.

Where Do We Meet?
I conduct interview skills sessions in person or remotely, using FaceTime, Google Hangouts, or Skype, depending on the student's location and preference.

I'm often asked if it's possible to teach interview skills remotely, and the answer is yes. We can accomplish everything we need to just as successfully. The only thing I can't do is shake your hand!

Recent Testimonials
"I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of your coaching and inspiration you provided to my daughter.  I am 100 percent certain that the work you did with my daughter in just a few sessions gave her the tools and confidence she needed to ace her college interview and get accepted into Dental School.  You are priceless. I am forever grateful."  Dr. Ronda Bachenheimer

"Emma has decided to attend Case Western Reserve University, receiving 1/2 tuition in merit aid. She had an interview there in the fall that went very well, and she was able to discuss her passion for ballet and desire to combine science and the arts. Case emphasizes the combination of creative and performing arts with science; she plans to major in chemistry and minor in dance.  She was accepted to all 9 schools to which she applied and early action to all of the schools that offered that choice. She received very generous merit aid from most. Looking back, she recognizes the value of the skills she learned working with you. It was time and money very well spent. We have seen such a positive change this year in how she interacts socially and in her ability to present herself and her accomplishments. Our younger daughter Cate is completing her sophomore year; I am sure we will be contacting you in the future to work with her as well.  We have already referred another friend who also has an accomplished, introverted daughter."
